If you cannot find the Auto Archive and Archive settings in the aforementioned locations and you are working in a corporate environment, it could have been disabled by your administrator as a Group Policy.
This is quite common practice as it could lead to pst-files scattered around clients and thus decentralized management.

I am new to this forum, but I wanted to share with you a solution to a problem that I recently resolved.
In researching the problem I found many references to this problem which go all the way back to Outlook 2003.
[more] Microsoft’s solution is to create a new Outlook profile, as the existing profile has somehow become corrupted.
In earlier versions of Outlook the nickname cache would reside within the user's profile as an .nk2 file on the machine they were using Outlook on (%appdata%\Microsoft\Roaming\Outlook\) Now, in Office 2010 the nickname cache is stored as part of the mailbox on the Exchange server.
To create a new Outlook profile go to Mail (32 bit) in the Control Panel (Windows 7).
Dynamics 365 for Outlook might have authentication and connection issues when using a proxy PAC file configured in workstation browsers.
For resolution, see Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook client crashes when using a Proxy PAC file. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator. Outlook synchronization is not supported if Cached Exchange Mode is turned off in Outlook.
If you encounter an issue installing, connecting, or enabling Dynamics 365 for Outlook with your Dynamics 365 (online) organization, use the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant to diagnose and fix the issue.
You’ll need to sign in to the diagnostics tool with your Dynamics 365 (online) credentials.
